I have a clockwork pedal. The clockwork I have has a phenomenon where the volume decreases when the pedal is turned on. The reduction amount is half that of bypass. No matter how I move the volume knob, there is a volume drop. Is this normal? Isn't it broken? If it's broken, how do I fix it? If it is not a malfunction but an internal trim pot that needs to be adjusted, how should I adjust it? I haven't opened the inside.

I bought a Melody pedal recently. I already have the JRockett Rockaway in my stacked OD pedals, but having bought a Musicman Valentine, which is very bright playing, I thought the additional EQ early in my chain would allow me to use existing settings on other pedals. My signal chain has been Wampler Ego Compressor > JRockett Rockaway (on very light gain) > JRockett Broverdrive > Nobels ODR1 > JRockett Dude, the options have been endless. I have found the Melody pedal fits better replacing the original Dude as my lead pedal. It doesn't feed well into other pedals, but accepts all levels of input so well and turns them into pure solo bliss, although I didn't really like it as a stand alone pedal when compared to the ODR1 and Broverdrive, my 2 flavours of gain.

So someone else builds your guitars, then you over charge 5k for a bolt on. Try Luxetone or Chubtone. At least they build their own guitars.

hey guys lets build a bass every now and then , call it the Grover Bass make it a short scale, take a dinky body narrow it a bit and stretch it. give it a 3d look on the hedstock using router technique , make a himass bridge and pin the bridge into the body like grover did with the neck on the Friedman . Id buy that for a dollar and then some

Just as pedal makers can't come up with anything new and are coasting along stamping out overpriced clones of old designs, guitar peddlers can't seem to do much other than copy old designs and brand them as the next new thing. (Reminds me of the satirical piece run in The New Yorker ages ago which described Pepsi 'innovating' by adding incrementally larger amounts of Coca Cola to its crap product.) Capitalism is a hugely flawed system and this Copycat Syndrome is perfect evidence of this. I guess companies would rather spend money on marketing than producing quality product or any sort of real innovation.

A used 80's original unmolested Charvel/Jackson in decent playing shape can be purchased for around $1,000 and has that mojo that a new guitar could never give you. They're magic!

ANOTHER grossly overpriced STRATOCASTER. Make a good guitar out of quality parts at a reasonable price. THAT will be an achievement. Money grabbing leaches is all these guys are. And how many times to we have to hear about a guitar company over emphasized history.

I don't understand? Karl Sandoval says he built is pictured having delivered the Charvel "Bumble Bee" guitar to Eddie Van Halen! In a different interview Grover said he delivered that guitar himself and now he says his wife Joann delivered the guitar to Eddie? 🤷 I really wish Karl and Grover would sit down together in a room and get this story straight once and for all! Please!

I'll say one thing, what he is saying about music in general, luck, etc. It is very true and simple shifts and innovations in sound made people stars also by having the idea first. You can't make it big using some one else gimmick when everyone knows it's not your gimmick. You may still be successful but not as much the original. Joe Walsh was an innovator. He and Bob Heil, both ham radio guys figured out the talk box. Rocky Mountain Way was Joes first big hit and then Frampton did take it to another level. Playing shouldn't be about how fast you can play. Speed is great but melody, hooks and cool riffs is where rock will always be. and of course a good lyric. Subject matter can make a big difference depending on what is going on in pop culture.
